Echoes of Ireland is produced and presented by the Bradford Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltireann (Association of Irish Musicians), a world-wide organisation with over 400 branches and with Headquarters in Dublin. The aims of Comhaltas are to promote all aspects of Irish culture including music, song, dance and the Irish language.To collaborate with whoever shares those aims and to restore to prominence especially the playing of the uillean pipes and the Irish harp.
Comhaltas is a non-sectarian and non-political organisation i.e. non-party political, committed to the concept and practice of according equality of status to all. Comhaltas asserts the distinctive cultural and historical reality of the Irish people and seeks to transmit the cultural heritage received from past generations to young Irish people living in Britain,N. America, Australasia and elsewhere in the world.
