Eclectic Mainline 10th April 2013

Bradford International Film Festival starts tomorrow, celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema.  So, it seemed fitting that I play something by Asha Bhosle in tonight’s show.  Of the 12,000 songs she has reportedly recorded, I went for this one, from the 1970 film, Kati Patang:

BCB is involved in this year’s festival, curating some of the BIFF By Night music events.  I’ll be there most evenings, either DJing or overseeing proceedings, so if you’re around, come and say hello.

New music in tonight’s show included this by Rustie:

…and this by Bibio:

Listen back to the show at your leisure if you desire.  Here’s the full list of tunes I played: Continue reading

16 March – Joe Tilston on The BCB Sessions!

Shows last on the system for listen again purposes for four weeks after broadcast. So, on 16th March Joe Tilston was my featured artist. Joe and Luke performed a great session so it’s definitely worth going back to. He’s got a great radio voice and I love playing the little jingle he did for the show. Thanks for coming in chaps. Eclectic Mainline 16th March 2011

Well, I didn’t get half the tunes I wanted to get in tonight.  Grrr.  Many had to be held over to next week.  While I was on, the 2011 Bradford International Film Festival was getting under way.  If you’re in Bradford you should defintely try and get along to see at least one film during the festival.  It is always really amazing the number of great films they manage to find.

If you missed tonight’s show, you can listen again for up to 4 weeks.  Here’s the video to the Bibio tune I played:

Here’s a full list of what I played:
