Chris Hladowski

Founder of psychedelic rock band The Family Elan, Chris can be seen playing Turkish saz and Greek bouzouki at any number of disreputable venues across Bradford and beyond.

Having studied ethnomusicology (amongst other things) he has a working interest in traditional musics from across the globe, especially Middle Eastern and South Asian music. Depending on his mood however you might hear anything on his shows – from Sparks to Jewish liturgical chants, to the sounds of an ancient oak forest in the east of Poland.

Chris also works at Fuse Art Space, in the Rawson Quarter, only a stone’s throw from the BCB studio – pop along to say hi!
