Geoffrey earned his living in music education and his main musical activity is composing. He’s written for young people’s choirs and bands – now retired he’s turned more to writing choral and instrumental music for grown-ups.
As a performer he’s a singer and bog-standard jazz bass player. He’s very active on the Recorded Music Society circuit and enjoys presenting programmes featuring modern music.
Most importantly, Geoffrey has no taste whatsoever, so he’s able to enjoy all kinds of music from Beiderbecke to Birtwistle.
