Henri Rhodes

As a born-and-bred 24 year old Bradfordian I still find myself positively surprised by Bradford life.

My own thirst for life is quenched by a diverse range of activities and pleasures, including music, arts and culture. Whether I’m learning, performing or simply chatting, I strive to increase my versatility.

I was classically trained in piano performance from the age of 10, finally graduating with a Leeds College of Music BTEC Extended Diploma with A* A* A. I currently play piano in a local band called FLING, whose future in the music industry excites me. Like many classical pianists my favourite composer is Chopin and I play a couple of his polonaises and nocturnes. I also enjoy reading literature, namely Oscar Wilde, although my favourite quote is probably from Shakespeare’s King Richard The Third, ‘And thus I clothe my naked villainy with old odd ends stolen forth from holy writ and seem a saint when most I play the devil’.

Bradford is a wonderful hotpot brewing with hidden gems, eccentricity and charisma. We’re resilient to the bad press we get, and I am personally very proud to be involved in the city.
