Tareck has been involved in radio since university, and is a fan of funk from masters such as James Brown, Gil Scott Heron and Parliament, to the hip hop of Rakim and De La Soul. He’s lived and partied through the house music scene from the early 90s to the evolution of acid jazz, broken beat and drum & bass, as well as listening to great soul music to nu soul and beyond.
Tareck’s two shows project a blend of these styles with conscious commentary. He also writes for contactmusic.com and performs music live.
