NSPPC Service Centre: Bradford Opening
The NSPCC’s Bradford service centre is opening its doors to local professionals working with children and young people, to showcase the children’s charity’s therapeutic programmes that are on offer locally for those struggling with abuse and neglect. 

Survivors West Yorkshire: Receives £20k Funding 
Survivors West Yorkshire, the Yorkshire region’s ONLY online specialist support service for male survivors of child sexual abuse and adult rape - Ben’s Place – receives £20k worth of funding from People’s Postcode Lottery.

History of Women
The author of a non-fiction historical work called Struggle and Suffrage in Halifax: Women’s Lives and the Fight for Equality is HELENA FAIRFAX. Women’s voices are all too often missing from the history books. This book looks at some of the key events in the fascinating history of the mill town of Halifax, West Yorkshire, from the point of view of the women who shaped the town.

Major Crime officers has halved in size since 2010
WEST Yorkshire Police’s major crime unit has lost almost half its officers since 2010, new figures suggest. Data released after a Freedom of Information request by the Labour Party shows that the number of police working in the unit has fallen from 151 full-time officers in 2010 to 80 in 2019, a decrease of 47%.

Bradford Live Receives Lottery funding

The Bradford Live redevelopment project has been given a massive boost thanks to National Lottery players. The scheme to transform the iconic landmark into a world-class entertainment facility is set to ramp up the Northern heritage-led regeneration story even further in the UK’s youngest city

Another chance to hear BCB's finest specialist music shows

About the BCB Schedule

BCB broadcasts a wide range of speech based and specialist music programmes, as well as local sports and live events. Our weekday daytime programming is speech led, moving into community programming at 6pm, the BCB Extra Youth strand at 6.30, Asian language programming at 7pm and finishing with an eclectic range of specialist music from 8pm onwards.

The weekend schedule reflects the local sports scene, community language programmes as well as outside broadcasts and the chance to catch up with the programmes you’ve missed during the week.

The programme schedule changes daily with over 80 new programmes broadcast throughout the week.
