BCB runs regular Radio Skills Training Courses for new volunteers who are interested in getting involved with BCB. 

BCB New Volunteer training is a practical, hands-on, structured 30 hour training package, and is offered to local people who have ideas for progammes they want to make - and are prepared to make a commitment to BCB. 

You must commit to attend each of the scheduled training sessions as well as individual studio practice. The course introduces all aspects of radio broadcasting: interviewing techniques, recording techniques, digital editing, using the broadcast studio, writing for radio, producing and presenting live programmes and broadcast law. The course culminates with the trainees producing a demo radio programme.
