Back to Presenters

Alan Anderton

Alan has been presenting Bring It On Home for at least 12 years now, and has made a rod for his own back – he plays new releases in blues, folk, country and roots, so there’s a lot to keep up with.

Alan’s choices range from Mongolian rock to Malian blues, from Celtic folk to Canadian country, and Ukrainian folk to Americana. If he had to choose just one kind of music above all others, it would be the blues – acoustic or electric, country or urban. Modern African blues-rock is his current favourite.

He has a broad range of other interests – travel, history, wildlife, novels, opera, theatre, whisky, real ale and good food. In his spare time he’s a community health worker in Manningham.
