Research Matters

The latest news on the fantastic research coming out of University of Bradford

The June 28th 2020 edition contributes to the discussions raised by Black Lives Matter

Uduak Archibong MBE is Professor of Inclusivity at University of Bradford whose research has uncovered systemic racism and has developed methods to support positive change for inclusion, equality and diversity in organisations.

Pam Ramsden is a lecturer in Psychology and an expert in the psychology of resilience, posttraumatic stress disorder and fear of terrorism and violence. She talks about how the current lockdown situation and 'doomscrolling' has contributed to a collective sense of purpose and desire for fairness in response to the killing of George Floyd.

Helen Horsman from the University of Bradford Research Team provides a roundup of research news from the University of Bradford including discovery of the second Stonehenge.

The programme features free online research events, particularly Bradford Café Scientifique who in partnership with the National Science and Media Museum will be running an online event on 16th July where Professor John Wright will talk about Covid19: the world's greatest Scientific Race.

The show has music reflecting an eclectic taste. To provide feedback or ideas for future programmes contact Marcus Rattray via Twitter @MarcusRattray

The programme will be first broadcast on BCB (106.6FM and online) on Sunday 28th June 2020 at 1 pm, and will be available on Listen Again.
