2023 is the 75th anniversary of Windrush For the Windrush Generations, the Bradford Heritage Arts and Culture Planning group and it’s supporting partners have prepared an array of Windrush75 activities for Bradford and beyond, Throughout the celebrations we’ll be bringing you a series of special programmes and interviews telling you all about the events. Hear all of them below (we’ll be updating as and when they are broadcast)

Windrush75: Not Out

Charles Dacres tells BCB’s Dave Stevens and Danielle Broadbent about Windrush75 – Not Out. Not Out is a fun day of friendly competition of seniors and juniors matches and sport coaching for younger players. There will also be a special guest appearance from former international West Indian Cricket starts. It’s taking place on Friday 23rd June from 12pm onwards.

Raising The Standard for Windrush

On Thursday 22nd June the Windrush Flag was raised in City Park. Nagbea, who organised the event, spoke with BCB’s Peg Alexander to tell her all the details.
