Back to Presenters

Tina Watkin

Tina has been with the BCB Radio team since September 1999, celebrating her 21st birthday with them in 2020. She enjoys chatting to guests on the Afternoon Stretch while her co-presenter Alan Keeling selects the music. They work well as a duo and have fun with some of their regular guests.

For the Senior Moments show she and Valerie Cosgrave, joined occasionally by Myra Farnell, host an hour-long spot geared to the more senior BCB listeners. It’s a light-hearted chat show where they discuss things of interest useful to the over 50s.

The monthly Scribe Show is for writers who are new to being interviewed on radio. They have a half hour to talk about themselves and read out some of their own work. It can be any genre of writing: poetry, prose, short stories, hymns, songs and even rap, and some writers sharing poems in their mother tongue. As leader of the Bradford Writers’ Circle Tina is fascinated by the wealth of talent in Bradford.

Everyone has a tale to tell and she is there to hear it.
