Sandra Rowe

Sandra loves African-Caribbean culture, music and arts, and especially enjoys reading African-Caribbean literature.

Amongst her most memorable moments were hearing Maya Angelou do a reading at Ilkley Literature Festival, and going to the 2012 Olympics with members of her family dressed in the national Jamaican colours. “The atmosphere was out of this world, a once in a lifetime experience. We were interviewed by several overseas broadcasters – I think they thought we were related to Usain Bolt!”
