Joe Sheeran

Joe is a retired teacher/lecturer. He is married with lots of offspring, to the third generation. He was born in Ireland, and his partner is also from Ireland.

He has been involved in Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann – the Irish Music Association – for over 25 years and was director of Cúlra, the cultural education programme of Comhaltas in this country. He is an avid reader and has specialised in religious studies and sociology. He writes unpublished poetry in the Irish language.

Joe is currently the Chair of BCB’s Management Committee.
